Annie’s Resale for the World was founded in 2011 by Donald and Annie Farrell of Streamwood, Illinois. They have, over the past ten years, worked for several international Christian relief and development organizations that serve the extreme poor in developing countries. Having traveled to countries such as Thailand, Burma, Cambodia, Haiti, Russia, Kenya and Uganda, Donald and Annie and their board members have witnessed firsthand the pain and despair of deep poverty, but also the incredibly powerful work of church and community leaders who are dedicated to lifting their communities out of this abject poverty and bringing people into a life of promise and hope. Our shop wants to support these leaders in their noble efforts.
Through Annie’s long-held passion for resale shopping, along with her and Donald’s strong desire to continue to serve the extreme poor around the world, the vision of selling donated goods and sharing the profits with those serving the poor was established. Our mission is to collect our personal “abundance” in our own neighborhoods and turn it into life-saving support for those who need it the most.
Annie's Resale for the World Board of Directors joined us for our 2019 Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in Arlington Heights.
It is with great joy that all of us met together to celebrate our volunteer team’s hard work and incredible contribution to our operations.
